Why does the moon shine?

The moon does not shine with its own light it reflects off the light from the sun . The moon is always reflecting off the sun. The day, the sun’s light is brighter than the moon’s so you can’t see it.

During the day, the sun’s light is brighter than the moon’s so you can’t see it time. The moon shines brightly because the sun has gone around to the other side to earth. It doesn’t disappear it just becomes less visible to the eye when the sun is up as it’s brighter than the moon.

The moon shines because it doesn’t really have it’s own light. It reflects from the light of the sun. Half of the earth and half of the moon is lit up by the sun.
