It's time to float your boat!

What you need
Paper

Step 1 Fold the sheet of paper in half from top to bottom.
Step 2 Unfold the paper and fold it in half vertically.
Step 3 Fold down the top corners while leaving an inch or 2 at the bottom of the paper.
Step 4 Fold the bottom of the paper up between both sides.
Step 5 Fold the bottom corners in. On one side of the paper, grab the corners of the rectangle that are sticking out over the triangle and make it into a square.
Step 6 Fold up the bottom flaps.
Step 7 Make the triangle into a square again.
Step 8 Pull out the triangles on the side of the square.
Step 9 Float your boat.

Now that’s how you make a paper boat. Paper boats are fun to play with in the summer time. You should try to make a paper boat now.

It's time to fly a plane!

Things you need

 Paper

Step 1 Get a sheet of paper and fold the paper in half. This means folding the two long sides together.
Step 2 Fold the two corners into the centre. Make the fold nice and straight using your nails.
Step 3 Fold the angled edge into the centre. Take the new angled sides and fold them both into the centre.
Step 4 Fold along the centre line. This fold should hide all of the other folds underneath.
Step 5 Fold down the two top flaps to make the wings. These folds will also need to be pressed down, so use a hard edge to make the fold (like your nail).

That’s how you make a paper plane. Paper planes are fun to play with, why don’t you have a try now?

Vivo's entertaining Performance!

After morning tea, St Patrick’s school went to the hall to go and watch the Vivo group. They were from the Auckland Symphony orchestra. One lady had the Violin and the other lady had the Accordion. This man had the Double Bass. Their first song was a romantic song. The song was nice and calm. Then these pirates came out of nowhere and scared most of the kids.

They sang a song with the electrical guitar and a harmonica. It was good but it wasn’t as good as the Vivo’s performance. The next song that the Vivo sang was a Tango song. One of ladies asked us where Tango comes from and she told us it comes from Argentina. In that song, there were some fast notes and there were slow notes.

After that, the pirates came out again and they once more scared some kids.. They sang a song about picking your nose. People were thinking ‘Yuck, yuck!’. After the pirate’s song, Vivo sang a Gypsy song. Also in that song, there were fast notes and slow notes. Then they appeared again and sang another song.

That was the best song that I think they did today. After they finished their song, everyone applauded for the pirates. The Vivo group sang the Swan. The song was a nice classical song. The Accordion was playing as the water and the Double bass was playing as the swan.

Then that song closed the whole performance. I thought that was a wonderful performance. I hope the next time they come it will be even better.

Otahuhu Blues vs Mangere East Goldhawks!

On Saturday morning, I got ready to go to my rugby league game. It was the Otahuhu Blues vs the Mangere East Goldhawks. Everyone had to warm up for the game so we were ready to get onto the field.

Then it was game time I was coming onto the second half. In the first we scored a try by my teams fullback. We got the conversion to make the score 6-0.

15 minutes later the hooker scored a try we missed the conversion this time so the score was 10 points to 0 points. The half time score was 10 points to us. I was on the second half. My position was halfback. They had the kick off for the second half.

A few minutes later, I scored a try and took us up to 14 points. I got the conversion and made the score 16 nil. 10 minutes later, we scored again to make the score 22 nil.

To round the day off , I scored another try and made the score 26 nil. We missed the conversion. So at the end of the game we came away with a win 26 nil.

I am glad that we won. I hope we win next time as well.

New edition to the family!

On Sunday morning, I woke up and had breakfast. Then I got ready to go to my aunt's baby shower. My mum and my other aunt got everything ready for the baby shower. For lunch we had Broncos Steak House. My aunt's friends and family came to support my aunt. The adults were playing games at the baby shower.

For the first game, 3 people had to put blindfolds on and 3 others had to sit down and get fed baby food from the blindfolded people.  My aunts from out West won the battle. After that game, we had lunch. For lunch, I had baby pork ribs with fries. After lunch we played another game, the game was to guess how many lollies were in the jar.

The number of lollies that were in the jar was 308 lollies in the jar. My guess was 120 lollies but the number was more than that. The person that won was my aunt’s friend Monica. After that, my aunt opened all the presents for her baby. The baby got a blanket, some shoes and some socks. After she had finished opening the presents, the baby shower ended. My aunt thanked everyone for coming to the baby shower.

I am happy that my aunty is having a baby. I hope she looks after her baby and God bless her and her newborn baby.

Bowling night!!!!!!

On Saturday night my dad said I was going bowling. Me and my brother and sister jumped for joy. On that night we got dressed up and went bowling.

The bowling that we went to was extreme. Extreme is in botany downs. As soon as we got there all of the lines were taken so we had to wait for 1 hour and a half.

The first ride I went on was the mini rider 2. I rode the ride with my mum. That was the best ride I went on. The first game I played was basketball.
I was trying to beat my dad but my dad beat me by 13 points.

Then it was our turn to play bowling. It was me and my mum and dad and my brother and sister that was playing. I was losing at first but then I had the magic touch. I got one strike and two spares.

By the end of the match I won with 103 points.
My dad came second with 72 points. My mum and my little brother both had 64 points. My little sister came last with 57 points.

It was cool because I won and because I got a strike and two spares. I know I will never forget this moment.

The biggest match ever!

On Saturday night, my dad told me that we were going out West. we got changed into our pyjamas and went to my auntie's house out West. As soon as we got to my aunt's house, we sat on the couch and watched T.V. We watched rugby league and the adults went outside. After the dragon’ s game, the Warriors game was on.

As the game got under way, the warriors scored by a line break. They converted the conversion and the score was 6-0. The warriors were in an early lead. 10 minutes into the game,. the Warriors cross the touch line again to make the score 10-0. The conversion wasn't converted so the score was left at 10 -0.

Then the Rabbitohs answered back with their own try to make the score 10 points to 4 points. The conversion was successful, so the score was 10-6. After 40 minutes, the half time score was 10 points to 6 points. In the second half, the Rabbitohs put the pedal on for the medal and they scored five tries in 20 minutes. All the conversions were converted so the score was 30 points to 10 points. Then the warriors finished the game with a bonus point try and the kick was converted,  the Warriors came away with a disappointed loss

The Warriors had a big loss game. Hopefully  they can bounce back from their disappointing game, go the Warriors!
