Have you ever been to the Manaiakalani film festival before?

Have you ever been to the movies before?
Well, last , Wednesday the whole of St Patrick’s School went to Sylvia Park to go and watch our films at Hoyts at Sylvia Park. Firstly, we lined up with a partner to get ready for the bus. My partner was Lasike. After that, we went on the bus. As soon as we jumped off the bus, everyone was excited that we were actually going to watch our movie for the first time on big screen.

I was a little bit nervous because  I thought Kevin or Gabby might make a mistake with the introduction. After we went into the cinema,  Mrs Twomey told us to go up to the couches at the very top as there weren’t any more seats left along the rows assigned to us, Lasike and I were so happy that we could go go and sit on the couches. We were so comfortable. Then this man introduced the schools that were there, like Glen Innes, Glenbrae and many more.

The first movie was wonderful, I liked the back ground that they had in their in their movie and also their costumes. The next movie was so different to the first movie. It was called ‘Judge GI’. She had resolve situations for some fairy tale characters, like snow white. . Many more movie followed and then it was time for our film to play on the big screens . I was scared. Our presenters did a great job standing in front of such a big audience.  After that, we enjoyed lots more movies and then headed back to school.

Wow, what a great film festival! I think the next film festival will be even better because we’ll be making more amazing movies.
WALT use appropriate language features.
I know this when I use past tense correctly with the use of 'went' in my writing.
