Do you like swimming?

Have you been to the pools before?
Well, on Saturday I went to the Mangere pools. I was so hot so I wanted to cool off in the cool water. As soon as we got to the pools, I  ran straight to the Commando slide.
There was a short line, so I was only on the slide for a second. The slide was going as fast as a rocket. After the slide, I went to the bombing pool. The pool felt wavy because at least twenty to thirty people were bombing, diving and flipping all around me I had a jump. 3 seconds later, I was in the like a fish.

After swimming, we had lunch. For lunch, we had fish and chips, crackers, biscuits and drinks. That lunch was delicious. If I was a judge, I would gave it a 10 out of 10. After a fun time with my family, it was time to go home.

What a day of swimming! It was really good to spend time with my family. Next time, I would like to stay there even longer.

Have you been to Rainbow’s End before?

Well, on Saturday night  I was jumping for joy because I heard  that my aunt and I were going to go to Rainbow’s End. I was so excited because I wanted to go on all those rides like the Gold rush or the Invader. It was 6:00 pm and we were still at home  However 20 minutes later, my aunt called me and told me to get ready and that we were going to Rainbow’s End.  

As soon as we arrived at Rainbow’s End, I ran straight to the entrance. My aunt paid for us and I ran straight to the Fear fall. I was not one bit scared of the Fear Fall. I wanted to see all the lights and the cars. When we were going up, my aunt started freaking out. When we got to the top,  we had to wait for a bit for a sudden drop. My aunt screamed like it was the end of the world because she was so scared aunt was screaming like nothing. She was so scared.

The next ride that I went on was the Power surge. I was flipping around like I was crazy. I was getting so dizzy. When I finished the ride I fell down because that's how dizzy I was. The next ride that I went on was the Log Flume. The part that I really liked during the ride was the water. I also liked the drop at the end because I almost got wet.

The rides got better and better. The last ride that I went on was better and better and the last ride I went on was the Stratosphere. This ride was so much fun. It was the best ride that I went on that night. But then it was time to go home.

That was the most fun I have had for a while. The next time I go to Rainbow’s End, I want to go on all of the rides.

A tiring day out!

On Sunday,  I got ready to go to Rainbow’s End. However, in the last minute it got cancelled because of the weather.The weather was as bad as if a tornado was about to hit. So my mum decided that we were going to get a haircut. I was to get my haircut. Then it was my little brother’s turn and my dad was lucky last. 5 minutes into his haircut, My brother fell asleep. He slept as sound as a bear snuggling in bed.

After that, we went to Pak’n’Save to do our shopping. My brother and I said that we were going to stay in the car. Half an hour later, I thought to myself that I should've gone with my mum. My dad brought some school shoes for my sister and my mum and my little sister brought our food for the week.

They finally came out after 60 minutes. They took 60 minutes just to do the groceries. When they came back they packed the food into the car. We went home after that.

It was a tiring day because we went back and forth. I hope this kind of day doesn’t happen too often.

Celebrating my aunts' birthday!

On Saturday night, my family and I got changed to go for dinner. For dinner we were having Lone Star. We were having Lone Star because my aunts were both turning 20 years old. When we all got to Lone Star we ordered our meals.

My dad got lamb chop with fries. After that, we ordered our drinks. I got apple juice and I thought my drink tasted yummy. Everyone’s meals arrived on the table before my order did. Then finally my food came. That was the longest time that I have ever waited for my food.

My ribs were mean, because they were cooked to perfection. There was a lot of flavour and I loved the sauce that went with my fries. My family had a lot of fun at the party. My nana from Tauranga took time to travel to Auckland, it took her two hours to get here. She came here to support her two daughters. My dad and his brother came as well.

It was cool celebrating my aunts’ birthday. Maybe next year their party will be even more epic.

Happy vs Sad!

On Thursday June 26th 2014, my mum and dad went to America. On that morning, we all had to get ready to drop my mum and dad off at the airport. After we got ready, we got into the car and went to the airport. As soon as we got to the airport, we had breakfast at McDonald’s.

After breakfast we took some photos with my mum and dad, then we had to say “Good bye” to them. My brother, my sister and I were crying because we have never been apart from my parents before. My nana picked the three of us up and then we went to Sylvia Park.

We went there because it was my little cousin’s birthday. She was turning 2 years old. We bought her a present. 20 minutes later, we went to Paeroa because that’s where my cousin lives. The birthday was held in the Mcdonald’s at Paeroa.

The birthday was nice for everyone that came to the party. After the party, we went to my aunt's house to play for a while. Then we had to go to Tauranga to my nana’s house.

I was sad that my mum and dad went to America but I was happy that it was my little cousin’s birthday.

Vivo's entertaining Performance!

After morning tea, St Patrick’s school went to the hall to go and watch the Vivo group. They were from the Auckland Symphony orchestra. One lady had the Violin and the other lady had the Accordion. This man had the Double Bass. Their first song was a romantic song. The song was nice and calm. Then these pirates came out of nowhere and scared most of the kids.

They sang a song with the electrical guitar and a harmonica. It was good but it wasn’t as good as the Vivo’s performance. The next song that the Vivo sang was a Tango song. One of ladies asked us where Tango comes from and she told us it comes from Argentina. In that song, there were some fast notes and there were slow notes.

After that, the pirates came out again and they once more scared some kids.. They sang a song about picking your nose. People were thinking ‘Yuck, yuck!’. After the pirate’s song, Vivo sang a Gypsy song. Also in that song, there were fast notes and slow notes. Then they appeared again and sang another song.

That was the best song that I think they did today. After they finished their song, everyone applauded for the pirates. The Vivo group sang the Swan. The song was a nice classical song. The Accordion was playing as the water and the Double bass was playing as the swan.

Then that song closed the whole performance. I thought that was a wonderful performance. I hope the next time they come it will be even better.

Otahuhu Blues vs Mangere East Goldhawks!

On Saturday morning, I got ready to go to my rugby league game. It was the Otahuhu Blues vs the Mangere East Goldhawks. Everyone had to warm up for the game so we were ready to get onto the field.

Then it was game time I was coming onto the second half. In the first we scored a try by my teams fullback. We got the conversion to make the score 6-0.

15 minutes later the hooker scored a try we missed the conversion this time so the score was 10 points to 0 points. The half time score was 10 points to us. I was on the second half. My position was halfback. They had the kick off for the second half.

A few minutes later, I scored a try and took us up to 14 points. I got the conversion and made the score 16 nil. 10 minutes later, we scored again to make the score 22 nil.

To round the day off , I scored another try and made the score 26 nil. We missed the conversion. So at the end of the game we came away with a win 26 nil.

I am glad that we won. I hope we win next time as well.

New edition to the family!

On Sunday morning, I woke up and had breakfast. Then I got ready to go to my aunt's baby shower. My mum and my other aunt got everything ready for the baby shower. For lunch we had Broncos Steak House. My aunt's friends and family came to support my aunt. The adults were playing games at the baby shower.

For the first game, 3 people had to put blindfolds on and 3 others had to sit down and get fed baby food from the blindfolded people.  My aunts from out West won the battle. After that game, we had lunch. For lunch, I had baby pork ribs with fries. After lunch we played another game, the game was to guess how many lollies were in the jar.

The number of lollies that were in the jar was 308 lollies in the jar. My guess was 120 lollies but the number was more than that. The person that won was my aunt’s friend Monica. After that, my aunt opened all the presents for her baby. The baby got a blanket, some shoes and some socks. After she had finished opening the presents, the baby shower ended. My aunt thanked everyone for coming to the baby shower.

I am happy that my aunty is having a baby. I hope she looks after her baby and God bless her and her newborn baby.
